Would you like to serve as a mentor for students who enter your field? Sign up for the “Take a Wildcat to Lunch” program sponsored
by the Weber State University Alumni Association. This program matches students with professionals who can offer insights and
advice about their chosen fields. As a mentor, you agree to treat one or more students to lunch (or another meal if it is more
convenient) for a one-time mentoring session. This initial connection is limited to a friendly shared meal to discuss the challenges
and rewards of the real work world.
Fill out the professional registration form below. The information
you provide will enable us to match you with a student who is interested in your area of expertise. Please understand
this program is operated on student demand. We may receive multiple requests from students in your career field or one
a year. We appreciate being able to maintain a varied and ample database of professionals to be to service students
as requests are received.
After a student has requested to meet with a professional,
you will then receive a letter in the mail providing you with your student’s name, major and phone number.
After your notification that a match has been made, your
student will contact you within five (5) working days. Please notify our office at (801) 626-7532, if your student fails to
contact you within that time.
You and your student will meet for a meal, which you will
provide. (Breakfast, lunch or dinner; whichever is most convenient for your schedules.) Please note: the student will
feel more at ease if YOU are prepared to offer a couple of restaurant suggestions.
