Student Online Application
This program
is sponsored by the Weber State University Alumni Association and is
designed to network students and professionals. It involves matching you
with a professional in your chosen career field. The student and
professional then meet for a meal hosted by the professional to discuss the
real-world facets of the career.
| REQUIREMENTS: |
þ You must have a declared major. |
| |
þ You must have a
cumulative GPA of 2.0 or better. |
- Fill
out the student registration form below.
You will receive an e-mail notification
when your application has been received.
Your application will
then be reviewed and
within two weeks you will be matched with a professional with
expertise in the area you request.
- Please note:
applications received within the last three (3) weeks of the semester
will be matched the following semester.
- You
will then receive a letter providing you with your professional’s name,
occupation and business phone number.
-
It will be up to YOU, the student, to contact the
professional within five (5) working days of receiving your letter.
The
professional will also be notified by mail and will be expecting your
call.
- Meet for
a meal to be hosted, and paid for, by the professional (Breakfast, lunch
or dinner, whichever is most convenient for you both). Appropriate
dress: business casual. Remember, first impressions are important.
Many of these mentoring sessions have opened the door to other
opportunities. Please remember to express your appreciation to your mentor
as they are investing their time and money toward your future goals.
-
Within one week after your meeting, please fill out an evaluation form
online at
http://alumni.weber.edu/TAWTLForms/StudentEvaluation.asp
or you may fill out the evaluation form you will receive with your match
notification.
