Nominations are now being accepted for the prestigious WSU Salutes Awards, which will be presented during Homecoming. Recipients must be able to attend the awards ceremony on September 11, 2008.

Distinguished Alumni Award - Presented to WSU graduates who have led distinguished lives and demonstrated significant career achievements; have contributed to the success and reputation of Weber State University; and have served their community, state, or nation with dedication.

Distinguished Service Award - Presented to one community member who did not attend Weber State University, but has led a distinguished life and demonstrated  significant career achievements; has contributed to the success and reputation of Weber State University; and has served their community, state, or nation with dedication.

Lewis W. Shurtliff Award - Presented each year to an individual who is committed to advancing education in the community, state or nation.

Young Alumni Award - Presented each year to an alumnus/a who graduated or attended within the past ten years, has contributed to the success and reputation of Weber State University, and has distinguished him/herself through uncommon leadership and/or accomplishment.

Emeriti Alumni Lifetime Achievement Award
- P
resented to an alumnus/a who graduated or attended in 1967 or earlier, and who has distinguished him/herself and brought credit to WSU through a lifetime of accomplishment and service.

Emeriti Alumni Homecoming Royalty - The Emeriti Alumni Council honors annually, as Homecoming Royalty, a man and a woman, or a married couple who are eligible for designation as Emeriti Alumni, having attended Weber 40 years ago or more, and who have demonstrated an enduring allegiance and uniquely nurturing association with Weber State.
