John A. Lindquist
Award - The John A. Lindquist Award is given
annually to a current WSU faculty or staff person who
demonstrates sustained and outstanding commitment to mentoring

Communication Students’ Ad Receives National Attention -
Following a week of online voting, the Weber State University
entry won for "Best Use of Humor" and the commercial was shown
to a national television audience during the Wednesday morning
broadcast of CBS' The Early Show (Jan. 24).
WSU Invited to Perform 'Macbeth' at Kennedy Center in
Washington
D.C. - Weber State
University's Theatre program is one of only three universities
in the country invited to participate in the "Shakespeare in
Washington" festival at the Kennedy Center for the Performing
Arts on March 15, 2007. Benefit performances will be shown on
February 20 and 21 in the Eccles Theater of the Val A. Browning
Center.
Student Takes First in National Competition
Weber State University student J. Rob Call recently took first
place at the 2006-07 National Kitchen & Bath Association Student
Competition. Another WSU student, Kara Eastham, took second
place in the project.
UHC
Honors Professor with Distinguished Humanities Award
The Utah Humanities Council recently recognized Weber State
University associate history professor Kathryn MacKay with the
2007 Distinguished Humanities Award. The award is UHCs most
prestigious honor.
WSU Career Fair -
The WSU Career Fair is one of the
largest recruiting events in Utah with 5000 student and alumni
participants and 120 employers
attending annually. The Career Fair is open to all WSU
students, alumni and employers. The
fair will be held Feb. 15th from 9 am - 3 p.m.
WSU Storytelling Festival
- The 11th annual Storytelling Festival will be held March 5-7.
The festival will feature national storytellers
Patrick Ball, Diane
Ferlatte, Olga Loya and Syd Lieberman, as well as local,
regional, and student storytellers.
