University is responding to the call to recycle. Over 200
new purple containers have been delivered across campus to
departments and staff. Why the purple containers instead of
the blue? With these new purple containers, you can recycle
more than just a few paper items. For more information about

Utah Special Olympics
WSU
Student Involvement is supporting the Utah Special Olympics
2008 Winter Games, and would like volunteers. Events will be
held on Feb. 1 and 2. For more information about events

Annual WSU Career Fair
The annual WSU Career Fair
which hosts 100 + local and national employers will be held
on Thursday, Feb. 14, 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. in
the Shepherd Union Building. More than 3,000 students are
expected to attend the Fair. This event gives your
organization great exposure to potential employees.

Revolutionizing Filmmaking
The Foursite Film
Institute launches a new program aimed at uniting
students and disciplines in a unique film project. “This program has
the potential to revolutionize the way
filmmaking is approached at the college level,” said Scott Halford, Foursite

State University's Environmental Club, in partnership with
Cell Phones for Soldiers, has launched a recycling campaign
to collect deactivated cell phones that are no longer used.
Proceeds from the collection drive will help purchase
prepaid calling cards for U.S. soldiers deployed overseas.

"Beowulf: The Stuff Of
Heroes"
WSU's
Departments of Anthropology and History will present
"Beowulf: The Stuff of Heroes" by professors Linda Eaton and
Stephen Francis. There will be a presentation Thursday, Feb.
21, at 1 p.m. It will be held at Stewart Library, Hetzel
Hoellein Room (Special Collections). It is free and open to

12th Annual WSU Storytelling
Festival
Teachers
Education will hold their 12th Annual WSU Storytelling
Festival, Feb. 25-27. Four national storytellers, whom have
been featured in the past at the festival, have agreed to
come again. They are: Willy Claflin, Bobby Norfolk,
Elizabeth Ellis and Dovie Thomason. For more

Women's
Basketball Think Pink Day
Come cheer on the Weber State women's basketball team as
part of Think Pink Day February 16. Weber State is one
of hundreds of schools around the country participating
in Think Pink Day, an event to raise breast cancer
awareness on campuses and in
communities. The Wildcats take on Portland State at 2:00
p.m. on Saturday, February 16 and all fans wearing pink
to the game will be admitted free. In addition, pink t-shirts
and wristbands will be given away so wear pink and come
and cheer on the Wildcats! Click

Mascot Night
It's time once again for the annual Mascot Night at the
Dee Events Center. Mascots from around the area will be
in attendance for Weber State's final home game on
Saturday, February 23 against Montana State at 7 p.m. Don't miss the
opportunity to watch the mascots and cheer on the
Wildcats as they make a push for the Big Sky
Championship.
