Patten named Big Sky Conference MVP -
Weber State senior
David Patten was selected the Big Sky Conference's Men's
Basketball Most Valuable Player on Thursday, and was one of
three unanimous picks to the All-Conference first team. Click

Howard Hughes' Will: You be the Judge

Attorney George Handy will
present a discussion about the Howard Hughes will, Thursday
March 8, 2007 @ 7:00 p.m. at the Lindquist Alumni Center as a part of the
WSU Alumni Association "Classes Without Quizzes" series. As Dummar's
lawyers now seek a new ruling, this free presentation will allow
you to judge if the will is real. For more information, please

- Weber
State University is redefining the term “March Madness” on the
stage and the court, as the school will receive national
attention on both coasts Thursday with its performance of
Macbeth at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. to its NCAA
Tournament game against UCLA in Sacramento, California.
WSU Storytelling Festival
- The 11th annual Storytelling Festival will be held March 5-7.
The festival will feature national storytellers
Patrick Ball, Diane
Ferlatte, Olga Loya and Syd Lieberman, as well as local,
regional, and student storytellers.
Emeritus Professor Publishes Murder
Mystery Novel
- Weber State University Emeritus Professor Michael Norman
has recently published his first novel. Earlier this month
Poisoned Pen Press released Norman’s first novel, “The
Commission,” a mystery that draws on his criminal justice
background.

Stan Greenhalgh as the 2007 H. Aldous Dixon Award recipients.
The prestigious awards will be presented at a luncheon Monday, March 19.
- Weber State University’s
Environmental Initiatives Committee has planned two events
examining carbon dioxide emissions and their effect on the
environment.

Congratulations
to the WSU men's basketball team, Big Sky Champions! Weber
State will be hosting the Big Sky Conference tournament March

The WSU women's team will also be playing in the Big Sky
Conference tournament, to be held March 8-10 in Missoula,
Montana. The Wildcat Club is sponsoring a road trip to the
tournament, call 626-6492 by Friday,

Congratulations to WSU Men's Basketball Coach Randy Rahe! The first-year head coach was
recently named as one of 15 finalists for the Hugh Durham Award,
which is given out by CollegeInsider.com to the mid-major coach
of the year.
Congratulations also to former WSU cornerback Bo Smith, who
recently participated in the NFL combine. Smith impressed
scouts with the 6th fastest 40 yard dash among
cornerbacks. Smith is now expected to be drafted in the 4th
or 5th round.
