Graduation of the Class of 2008

More than 2,085 candidates for graduation were honored May 2, during WSU’s 131st commencement. Volunteers passed out caps and gowns at the Lindquist Alumni Center to graduates during a 3 day period. Click here to view the video.


WSU's David Hale Selected in 2008 NFL Draft

Weber State offensive tackle David Hale was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in the 2008 NFL draft. Hale becomes the third WSU offensive linemen in the last three years to be drafted. Click here for more WSU football news.

$1 Million Gift to Weber State University

The Dr. Ezekiel R. and Edna Wattis Dumke Foundation has announced a $1 million gift to Weber State University, the largest single gift ever given by the foundation.

New Dean of The Dumke College of Health Professions

Congratulations to the new Dumke College of Health Professions dean, Dr. Yas Simonian. "I am impressed with the breadth of experience and commitment to health care education that Dr. Simonian brings to the job. Her background and experience have prepared her to provide strong leadership for the Dumke College of Health Professions and to further enhance the excellent reputation of the Dumke College," says Michael Vaughan, Provost of Weber State University. Undergraduate Goes to Capitol Hill

Lindsay Cole, an undergraduate researcher at Weber State University, will be presenting her research on nest site selection by Great Salt Lake shorebirds. Her research was one of only 60 projects selected from more than 223 submissions nationwide. Click here to read more.

Fly Fishing 101

WSU’s Wilderness Recreation Center will host “Fly Fishing 101,” May 15, at 6:30-9 p.m. Meet at the Wilderness Recreation Center (Annex 9), for the 9-week course.
